Before you call, it is fair to know exactly what is being promised. Four things, each one about this service rather than about anybody else’s work.
A real person, day or night
This number is staffed around the clock, every day. The first call gets a person, not a queue that opens at nine.
Nothing to pay for being connected
You will not be billed by this site, ever. The call is free, the connection is free, and the price of the job is a matter for you and the contractor you choose.
Insured, credentialled and nearby
You are put through to an independent contractor who holds whatever licences, registrations and permits this trade and Iowa require for the job, carries its own insurance, and actually works in Des Moines. Ask to see the paperwork before work starts — any contractor worth hiring expects the question.
One call fixes a bad match
If the first connection does not work out — no call back, no show, or a quote you do not trust — ring the line again and you will be put through to a different contractor.
Where these commitments stop
This service does not stand behind the work, and it would be dishonest to suggest otherwise. The contractors are independent businesses; the quality of the job, and any guarantee on it, come from the contractor you hire.
